The Silent Tears Fall As A Mother Asks For Help
Thanksgiving Day we found out one of our own family members are in trouble, as tears run down her face she begins to tell our family what has happened.
She is just in her 20s with 2 children one on each hand married and no home to go back to. Her family are now being passed from friend to friend and family member to family member. As she tells her story it brought tears to my eyes yesterday, my own daughter and granddaughter live with me I know its got to be so hard on them.
Her name is Anna and this is her story. Anna and Matt long time sweethearts got married very young having kids like any other married couple. Young and with babies a new family like so many other families, things were tight. They struggled as most families do that are just starting out just making ends meet and they survive with the help of family members. Yes that is what families do help one another. We have all been there one time or another. She has been staying with a friend with her family in a apartment. Not long mind you and someone turns them in for having to many people in one place. Her friend is told by the apartment complex to remove them or they will be evicted.
So again she pulls her family and leaves. Ending up with her brother and his friend in townhouse where her mom and her brother mike is living with his two kids. Now there is 9 people in one small townhouse. Its tight and crowded but they are family and can do it right. Wrong again they have been turned in as to many are in this home and they are told they must leave. How can a family, a mother and her brother put her on the street with her family. Two young kids and no where to go. She is determined to keep her family together even if it means living in shelters if room is available. Here its the end of November so it cold here now as she lives in the Northern states of the USA.
People say get a job she has one working in a mortgage company with no transportation as their car was broken down more then it ran. Her husband is now out of work as he laid carpet for a small company. Due to no work available he was let go. So where do you turn where do you go she asked. She cries silently at night as her children sleep not knowing what to do next.
This got me thinking since I have a on line shop here I have called out to anyone that hears me to purchase something from my sight and all proceeds that I would make will now go to Anna and her family.
As I drove home thinking how can I help as she is not the only one in this situation so many other families are having problems now to. Times are hard on a lot of families so lets do something about. Well I have thought about this for hours and wrote a few articles on the net telling anyone that would read it to come to my site and if you know someone that needs help to write me here on the bottom in the comment section of my site. WASHINGTON – More than 2.1 million drop-side cribs by Stork Craft Manufacturing are being recalled, the biggest crib recall in U.S history, following reports of four infant suffocations.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said late Monday the recall involves 1.2 million cribs in the United States and almost 1 million in Canada, where Stork Craft is based. Sales of the cribs being recalled go back to 1993.
Nearly 150,000 of the cribs carry the Fisher-Price logo.
The CPSC said it is aware of four infants who suffocated in the drop-side cribs, which have a side that moves up and down to allow parents to lift children from the cribs more easily.
The Stork Craft cribs have had problems with their hardware, which can break, deform or become missing after years. CPSC said there can also be problems with assembly mistakes by the crib owner. These problems can cause the drop-side to detach, creating a dangerous space between the drop-side and the crib mattress, where a child can become trapped.
The commission is urging parents to stop using the cribs until receiving a free repair kit from Stork Craft.
The cribs, which were manufactured and distributed between January 1993 and October 2009, were sold at major retailers including BJ's Wholesale Club, Sears and Wal-Mart stores and online through Target and Costco. They sold for between $100 and $400, and were made in Canada, China and Indonesia.
Consumer advocates have complained for years about drop-side cribs. More than 5 million of them have been recalled over the past two years alone — recalls that were associated with the deaths of a dozen young children.
ASTM International, an organization that sets voluntary industry safety standards for everything from toys to the steel used in commercial buildings, approved a new standard last week that requires four immovable, or fixed, sides for full-size cribs — essentially eliminating the manufacture of drop-side cribs.
CPSC is also considering new rules for making cribs safer and could adopt the ASTM voluntary standard as a mandatory one, outright banning the cribs.
Toys"R"Us started phasing out drop-side cribs earlier this year and will no longer carry them next month.
In the Stork Craft recall, the manufacture date, model number, crib name, country of origin, and the firm's name, address and contact information are located on the assembly instruction sheet attached to the mattress support board. The firm's insignia "storkcraft baby" or "storkling" is inscribed on the drop-side teething rail of some cribs.
Consumers can contact the company, 877-274-0277, to order the free repair kit, or log on to http://www.storkcraft.com.

I remember when I went last year to look for a new digital camera it was not as easy as just picking one up off the shelf. I know I wanted a small yet nice camera that would not of cost me a arm and a leg. I walked to the counter where a women was standing behind it and asked her if she know anything about this digital camera I was looking at to purchase. She was honest and told me no. She also informed me if I could stay around she know someone that had one just like the one I wanted there at Sams. An he worked there at the store but was out to lunch, I said ok and she took my name down. About 20 mins later my name was called and I was asked to return to the Camera Department. A Tall gentleman was standing there in his later 20's early 30's I thought to myself he don't know anything, I was wrong he showed me the camera and showed me how to use it with some of the different settings. What a surprise he did know how to use it. I purchased the digital camera and took it on vacation to Gettysburg Pa and took some beautiful pictures of the sun set that weekend.

This is a fun teether and toy for my baby. He chewed it while a newborn and now as a toddler he loves to 'play music' with the giraffe by banging it around so that the squeek eminates and he is able to express himself and laugh at the sounds he is making with his toy. This is a nice item. Though a bit costly is worth getting when a child is a newborn and grows with it.

This is a fun teether and toy for my baby. He chewed it while a newborn and now as a toddler he loves to 'play music' with the giraffe by banging it around so that the squeek eminates and he is able to express himself and laugh at the sounds he is making with his toy. This is a nice item. Though a bit costly is worth getting when a child is a newborn and grows with it.

Here is a post I found today from Sparro a consumers first hand review.
Why buy a single serve coffee maker? The reasons are numerous but I will try and explain in this article to convince you. I have owned a Keurig single serve coffee maker for over a year now but prior to that I tried several different 10 cup makers trying to solve little annoying issues that we all experience. I have tried every top retail brand like Cuissanart, Krupp's and Braun along with old-time makers like Mr Coffee. None of them kept my amusement for very long. I then tried a very expensive maker for coffee connoisseurs and spent over $300 for it and it ceased after a year and it still had the same problems like:
1. Coffee flavor changed after sitting in the pot
2. Did not hold temperature for long
3. Waste of coffee
4. Same flavor for every cup
I am still debating whether or not the one cup coffee kcups are more expensive because I seemed to waste so much using a carafe system so It is really hard to examine the reality of the claim that the coffee per cup is more expensive with a one cup system. If there was no waste using a standard maker then I would obviously agree but I never was any good at making a good cup of coffee using a 4 cup measurement. The value in a one cup system is as following:
1. Every cup is brewed at same temperature so you get a great cup consistently
2. You can have a different flavor each cup
3. Fast, have a hot fresh cup in less than 30 seconds
4. No pot or carafe to constantly dish wash
5. No filters to buy
Those are some of the main reasons but honestly the coffee tastes great. I have also heard that you can't get a strong cup of coffee out of the pods or the kcups but my experience has been that the coffee is really rich and dark. So many varieties remind me of a cup straight from Starbucks. This has been the best new invention and modernization I've seen in years. Definitely the best new gadget I have purchased in a long time. Get up to date and buy a Keurig maker or ask for one for Christmas. You're going to love it!
